Fusion FX Bar 2 by American DJ Review

This is a great light fixture to add to your lightshow. I know I basically said it is a good standalone fixture, but I think you could build a really nice and effective lightshow with a few of these. A+ American DJ for making such a versitle light for a reasonable price.

A pair of these would greatly lighten the amount of gear I have to lug in to the club. I’m curious how they work in master/slave mode. Can one UC-3 control two fixtures, if the second is linked by DMX?

Also, minor point here, but I prefer to have my setup symmetrical. Is it possible to swap the white and colored moonflower mirrors? I realize in sound active mode that might lead to some odd situations. Maybe it’d be better to mount one unit upside down?

Great fixture. Thanks for the demo.

I like your camera being on a tripod. I felt dizzy when you wanted to show us everything at the rock concert and were waving your camera right, left, up and down ; )

1. Yup one uc3 will controll 2 fictures if linked master/slave via dmx cable

2. I would think you could swap mirrors if you wanted, ADJ may possibly have extra mirrors in stock.

3. this fixture was mounted upside down when it was on the pole. The way the bracket is layed out it may be hard to do one up and one down and aim them both right.

Hope this answers your questions. If you do end up with a few fixtures and mod them, please post a video on it so we can see how it turned out.

I haven’t used it with my DMX controller. However I am sure at the very least you can control Wash color and scroll through the patterns.

I have 2 of these and I switched the mirrors and led panel on one of them. This way, the colored moon flowers are on opposite sides and the led bars reverses the direction from the other side. I think they operate better this way. The light show looks even when you do this if you have two. Very simple to do, took about 30-45 minutes.
